Speaking of safest paint of all that would be milk paint.
As the name suggest, milk casein is the main ingredient in the making of milk paint. Apart from safe to use, another advantage of milk paint is that it can be applied to most of the surface, plaster, concrete even steel. Same as normal paint, after application of milk paint to the target surface, it does not require to be seal with wax which is commonly mistaken by people. As it is totally unnecessary and may result in high labor and cost in trying to repaint the surface in the future. The best way is to not do anything other than letting it dry naturally.

Another safest paint would be limewash which is made from calcium oxide. Calcium oxide is most found in seashells. Unlike milk paint which can apply to many surfaces, limewash is mainly used for porous surface such as drywall and unfinished wood. Same to milk paint, we can just let limewash dry naturally before applying second layer. Both milk paint and limewash can be coloured with natural pigments of choice, stains as well as dyes.
However these paints are not commonly used as far as cost and efficacy concern. To have a painting professional to serve you please call (03) 7018 o764. |
